Jim, I deeply respect you and your opinions, but.....I must strongly disagree with you on this one. Romney is not the problem, Obama is!!! I believe we are trying to save our country, our freedom, our liberty, our opportunity, our education, our children, their future, the future of children yet to come, individual excellence, the pursuit of happiness, etc.
Yes, my friend, I am looking at how close I think the popular vote will be. If Romney looks like he will take the electoral college, it may be important to also win the majority of the popular vote and take away an issue from the RATS they surely will try to exploit. I may end up voting for him in California if I deem it important.
But the mittbot crowd just blithely overlooked all of that.

That nails it right there. Ryan is not enough. The US needs a bold - radically bold - free market reformer willing to take unpopular stands under withering criticism, in the mold of Thatcher, Churcill, Regan, heck Lincoln.
Sarah Palin was our best bet, but she decided to remain a TV celebrity, because that’s easier. None of the current crop of wannabees will do. They’re all RINOs or likely RINOs who either have no sense of what’s needed to permanently reverse this slide toward socialism and tyranny or do not have the willingness to do what has to be done.

Good hearing from you, Jeff. Religion really is an issue in this campaign. But not Mormonism. Islam. As a Catholic, I am not threatened by Mormons. But I am threatened by radical Islam. It is the greatest threat Western Civilization faces, and we have an occupant in the White House who is at best sympathetic to them and at worst one of them.
This nation is about to hit the iceberg and sink economically, taking with it the rest of the world. There is a very short window of opportunity to turn the ship around. Obama is neither capable of that nor interested in that. He wants the colonial powers to be destroyed. That really is the dream of his father.
MormonISM is the LDS belief system.
Mormons are individuals that follow that particular belief system.
When anti-Mormon is stated, it is usually understood that it means anti individual Mormons.
In other words, dislikes Mormons because they are Mormons.
When anti-MormonISM is stated, it is usually clear that it is anti the LDS belief system.
All main stream Christian denominations declare that the LDS belief system is not a part of main stream Christianity because of the many extra-Biblical beliefs that are propagated by the LDS prophets of old and recent.
For instance, that the Book of Mormon is the gospel truth, while the Bible is only accurate when “properly translated”
Which give the opportunity to deny certain Biblical truths.

For those of you internet conservatives that forgot, ‘party politics’ and religion exist not to compromise, but to put likeminded people together to forward their beliefs/agenda.
We do not need less polarization, we need MORE polarization.
Now if you want to believe the moon is really a cow in a grey coat, Good for you. But don’t sit there preaching that christians or conservatives are white supremacists if they won’t cave in their beliefs and back your personal convictions.
Words mean things. You can call a dog’s tail a 5th leg. Guess what? It’s a tail. And we now experience our dillema because people on compromise have wrecked both political parties and most if not all organized faiths.
And namecalling with paralell cries of ‘unity’ are hallmarks of the left. People who use those tactics and espouse compromise over principle ARE what ails America. Hell they destroyed America.
Had Washington compromised, we’d still be British. That fact seems lost on modern ‘conservatism’.
As for faith and belief, if you don’t believe your faith is correct, why in Sam Hell are you are a member of it? And why would you NOT put it above everyone elses and defend it completely?

And McCain could have chose Palin for the same reason as her ‘rep’ for taking on either side of the aisle was no problem for here. She went after corruption where ever she found it. And what couldn’t be done - SHE DID IT! Someone who is a proven conservative with a 83% favorable rating sure made the lackluster spineless RINO’S look bad!
