Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

How ought one to exercise the political privilege we know as the vote is the issue here. Assumptions that this vote amounts to heartfelt blessing of the candidate voted for are going unchallenged.

You post like a Romneybot. Take your veiled insults with you because I reject them all.

You are absolutely insane. I do not compare Nazi atrocities for political gain. I swear there is something bizarre that has happened here since I’ve been gone. This place is almost unrecognizable.

I'm with you, CWSNTEXAS and we are not alone.

The Anti-Christ is a bit of a stretch that I really dont quite follow. To say that because the Anti-Christ will be in part a political entity means that God will judge christians on political choices is reaching for me...and didn’t Jesus tell the Pharisee’s to render unto Caesar the things that were Caesar’s with regards to paying taxes. So by that then do we say that its wrong to object to paying taxes, because the jews were being unjustly taxed and Jesus said to pay it? The Romans were clearly pagan...do we take from Jesus that its ok to give to pagans? Its kind of taking a subject from the Bible out of context.

Back to the point, though, again saying that Romney’s record is the reason you wont vote for him is fine, and so is for that matter saying that you do or dont feel God speaking to you. All I object to is the idea that God will sit on Judgement day, and say to you or me, “remember in that election in 2012, when you voted for Romney because you thought him better than Obama? well, that was wrong, you should have voted for the third party guy who had no chance. Now there will be consequences.” I think there are plenty of good Christians who will vote for Romney, because he’s not as bad as Obama, and I dont think God will judge them for that.

Maybe he should have gone to Northwestern. They’re a little brighter there, I think.

Whoever you are, ex-moderators, my hat is off to you. I respect that you took such an honorable stand.

Thank you! Prayer is all-important.

As I’ve said many times, with God Barack Obama can’t hurt us, but without God, George Washington could not save us.

I put up an announcement thread:

I think the key here is the TEA Party, which pulled Romney to the right with his pick of Ryan. And the way I see it, the TEA Party will continue to grow and eventually force RINOS out of the party completely. Then we can take back our country. (AND FR BIRTHED THE TEA PARTY!)

Until then I will vote for the Republican ticket. I’ll settle for half a loaf. For now. Doesn’t mean I’m happy, just means I’m hedging my bets. This is long ball!

Pardon me but I did not invent the figure of 0.0001% which you inflated to 3%.

I posted: 'Voting for a Third Party candidate that will get 0.0001% of the vote?' Guarantees Obama as the next president of the United Socialist States of Amerika. [the original comment was 'STOOPID'] You posted: So Obama will win by 0.0001% of the vote?

And you want to claim I changed the meaning of what I originally posted? I can guarantee you, based upon historical elections, a third party candidate will NOT be elected to the White House. It will only take away from either the Republican or the Democrat candidate. So, yeah, I sure do have 'an idea' what the outcome will be when you vote third party.

You have proved nothing.

The burden of proof is not on me, but you, to prove your assertion that Romney has at some point actually "socked" it to Obama.

Hint: You can't do it.

The omnipotence paradox ... seriously? If you have to work that hard to excuse something, it might not be worth the effort to consider it.

I’d think more would be in danger of being asked “why didn’t you vote for someone morally reasonable in the primary?” Not every sin committed on earth means hell in the afterlife anyhow. But all things will be called to account. We’ll all find out in myriads of things that we’ve been wrong. Then we will be able to begin really living.

Just so we are crystal clear on this...

You admire the moderators for standing on principle while condemning JR for standing on principle and see no conflict with that position.

I suggest strongly you read the definition of ‘Doublethink’.

Mitt Romney is Barack Obama after Michael Jackson surgery and a conversion from Islam to Mormonism.

In the recording industry, Mitt Romney would be called the "white cover version" of Obama.

I think there are plenty of good Christians who will vote for Romney...

If there are enough who do, Romney will win without the help of the bad Christians who are voting for a ticket headed by other than Romney or Obama.

I respect what you are saying regarding voting for MR. I vowed after McCain that I would never vote for anyone who wasn’t the best person for the job again (I really voted for Palin, but I digress).

Even though MR is not the best person for the job of POTUS, I will NEVER, EVER, EVER give zero a chance with my vote to return to the oval office. I am in a battleground state, so there is no way I will vote for the best person for the job, I will vote AGAINST zero. That lying, communist piece of excrement needs to be kicked out of OUR White House in January. I CANNOT WAIT until I see him and his worthless wife walking away. They can act like Carter and try to stay in the limelight, but everyone will know they are LOSERS and couldn’t even get another term no matter how hard they cheated and lied. With my vote for WR, I will be saying a satisfying GOOD RIDDANCE to the worst. president. ever. and his mooching wife. I cannot wait to vote for MR.
