Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

All that you have posted in #3565 is the furniture in the room. Once there were patriotic Democrats who were faithful to Judaeo-Christian principles. In 1972, they lost their party to communist McGovernites. That party has never been recaptured by the decent Democrats of yesteryear. Nor is it ever likely to be.

Many here think that the answer is to elect a "Republican" who is not much better. As their fingernails break one by one in their futile attempt to avoid falling off the edge of the mile high cliff, they are willing to support ANYTHING, any old POS imaginable, regardless of the consequences to the nation and the party and the movement, to avoid the immediate pain of having thwarted their will to defeat Obozo. Once it became obvious that Mittler and his corrupt Wall Street buddies had succeeded in BUYING the GOP nomination, it became equally obvious that this year's POTUS election is a win-win for the radical left no matter WHO "wins."

If Obozo wins, then, via executive orders and a massive willingness to violate whatever laws necessary to get his way, Obozo will have four years to continue the systematic destruction of the USA. If Mittler wins, the GOP will be destroyed now and forever and conservatives and other patriots will be compelled to destroy the corpse of the GOP and to build a new party to replace it---a task hat MIGHT succeed in about 25 years that we do not have.

I don't give a rat's a$$ about Romney's religion. I do give a rat's a$$ about his potential to destroy this country by destroying the GOP brand name and leaving the reds without opposition because Muffy and Skipper and the Junior League are just tooooooo embarrassed by the mere existence of conservatives whose souls are not for sale.

The constant spineless mushball "GOP" strategy of nominating prostitutes and then running around like Chicken Little screaming that "The Sky is Falling! The Sky is Falling!" and that if we don't elect Xaviera Hollander as POTUS, the end has come for the republic is nothing less than a prescription for turning the White house PERMANENTLY into a cat house and a red light district.

You are determined to play into that "strategy." Nothing that anyone here says is likely to change your mind.

Reagan was NEVER GOP-E. They were always his enemies. He was quite credible in his conversion to pro-life and even authored a book on the subject as POTUS. Romney established abortion on demand for $50 as an essential part of Romneycare in 2006 TWO FULL YEARS AFTER LYING THAT HE HAD BECOME "PRO-LIFE." In Reagan's last two years as POTUS, he was declining and no longer able to resist Dole's efforts in Dole's capacity as tax collector for the welfare state. (Remember the slogan: Let Reagan be Reagan???) In any event, money is only money. I recall no one credibly calling Reagan a proponent of big government. Ron Paul may have made such wild-eyed allegations but they were never credible.

I cannot let Obama get a second term. My life will be ruined as will my family. Not going there. I don’t have the LUXURY of waiting it out til 2016. My life and time are limited. I think you will see that many are in the same boat. Small business like myself. We cannot survive the onslaught of the Dem machine if Obama is reelected. Taxes and regulations will be so punitive that we will be lucky to retain our personal assets. So many say let Obie get the executive and we will get the House and Senate... With the go along to get along crowd this will serve as doom for us. We need another two election cycles to get the conservatives in ‘true (Tea Party)’ power in the House and morphing up to the Senate. That means controlling the executive. Letting the commie crowd in for another bite at the apple is just not right in my view and I will do everything possible to stop it.
