Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

This sounds like 4 years ago about Palin and McCain.

“Yes, indeedy...all this could happen.”

No, it cannot. You show no faith in the people if you believe so.

That is an excellent post. Unfortunately it will fall on deaf ears of many posters here. For one thing, it is longer than most have the attention span to read, and secondly it is a reasonable post which they have no interest in. For many, it is much to sensitive and compassionate, you know, not manly enough for behind the keyboard tough guys.

The effective change is Paul Ryan. A Tea Party conservative has been added to the ticket. From this point forward some of us will join the anti Obama coalition and some of us will sit this one out. There is nothing left to talk about.

Yes, Romneybots were here four years ago. I remember what happened then. It hasn’t stopped happening on FR even tonight.

Now that's the type of in-depth political analysis that can be counted on here at Free Republic.

Is there any in-depth political analysis on this thread that will defeat Obama, get a real republican executive elected, and fix all the carpola that is messing up the country I grew up in? If there is, indicate the post number.

I expect there are people getting into vociferous arguments, using rude language, and either getting themselves zotted or deciding their pride requires an Opus. What fun is that? I'd rather click over to Youtube and watch some Brad Paisley videos. License to chill, FRiend ...

I'm not advocating a "protest vote". I'm advocating a strategic vote.

The Constitution Party is nowhere near able to generate 5% of the popular vote. The Green Party has come close.

And if some miracle happened and the Constitution Party did get 5% of the vote then they would tend to siphon votes away from the Republicans turning this country into a Democrat Party plaything.

The short term strategy is to make the Green Party a viable third party that can siphon the true believers out of the Democrat Party cancelling out all of the illegal aliens votes they have been adding over the last few years.

I'm in California. I'm voting Green even though we have one of the strongest branches of the Constitution Party.

Ryan has made a bad deal with a devil.

So, what are we to do to save Ryan's privates?

I remember waking up the morning after the Supremes ruled on Obamacare. I felt sick, shaky, and extremely pessimistic. It lasted for several weeks. I fear that I will wake up with this same feeling of gloom and doom the morning after the election if Obama wins re-election.

I’m not big on Romney, and was a Gincrich and Santorum supporter in the primaries, but I won’t feel like the end is near if Romney wins.

Many errors in your reasoning. For starters, I was referring to “no effective change” in Jim Robinson’s stated position.

Since Mar 24, 2012

No.”

~ ~ ~

Thanks, good to hear, what happened on March 24, 2012?

How come Heaven knows BHO and Romney are not of God *pray for their conversion* but some down here on earth are in denial?

God speaks through His chosen messengers every day. Father Melvin has been a contemplative for many years and has a parish on Prince Edward Island, abortion is not allowed on the island. Alleluia~!

In the last Presidential election, same thing to other messengers, God warned about Obama and Romney, neither are Christian! Why is this happening again? Everyone pray for a miracle...Heaven is asking for prayer for an election miracle. Offer a small sacrifice if you can.

message to Father Melvin Doucette

July 18,2012

“I call you all to be loyal to Me especially you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every part of the world. When I was on earth I was loyal to My Heavenly Father every day of My life on earth. I came to do His will. You too should have the same reason wanting to follow My will every day.

There are some people these days that are teaching falsehood but saying that it comes from Me. Only My church can teach the true Gospel, which I brought into the world. There will only be the one Gospel and this is what you are to follow with all your heart. St. Paul in his earlier days was a persecutor of My Church. He wanted to destroy the Church I had founded on the Apostles. At the end I woke him up and he was converted. He came to believe in Me and he followed the true Gospel all the years after that until his death as a martyr in Rome. Do not listen to such people as those who belong to New Age or THE CHURCH OF THE LATTER DAY SAINTS. THERE IS NO TRUTH IN WHAT THEY TEACH. Follow Me in My Church and you will be blessed. I am your Brother who is calling you and who is ready to help you in this life and bring you home to heaven one day.”

if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot.

I don't like Romney, or his past, but waging a war in favor of write-in candidates is knowingly supporting the re-election of Obama, the socialist. Write-ins almost always favor incumbents.

It's beyond me why, if you're the conservative you claim to be, you're supporting the increase in Obama's re-election numbers. Forget four more years, one more year of Obama and this country is toast.

Guns are a single issue. So are babies, marriage, defense, religious persecution (both Romneycare and Obozocare) and many others. Based on Mittler’s track record, you will be trying to win this election without “single issue” voters. I don’t see that as a winning strategy, do you?

If I were an American, Mitt would get my vote as moving Obama along would be considered a top priority. However, in addition to that, anytime a political seat, whether it be municipal, county, school board, state, judgeship, or Congressional, it would be considered time to do battle to get a tea party member elected.

Agree with post 14, with Paul Ryan in the White House VP office a few steps from Romney in the Oval Office, a conservative spin on our national budget is more likely to happen than if Ryan stays in the in the House of Representatives.

O.K. Diogenes, you have convinced me. I will stay home on November 6th and not vote for Romney

The only people "planning" to stay home on election day are trolls hoping to suppress conservative turn out. Don't be one of those guys. We conservatives will show up to do our civic duty on election day. We may opt, however, not to support the liberals on the ballot. That includes the ones with "R"s behind their names.

What you wrote says it all for me:

"We are where we are in this great American experiment in God given individual liberty. It’s been under assault for over 70 years, but never to the extent Obama has taken us. As an American, and as a grandfather, I will do everything possible to defeat this dictatorship and elect Romney/Ryan."

I can not, will not, stand by as Obama destroys this country.
