Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

Shut up you have no where to go, we don’t give a damn about your social policies or views and after all where you going to go anyway.

BINGO!!!

"The only other choice is taking our country down the path to Greece. If the Obama/Biden ticket wins I see $20 Trillion or more in the national debt"

Stopping Obama is paramount.

The alternative means that the American experiment is over.

A second O administration will be even worse since he will be unconstrained.

Romney now leads a coalition to stop Obama that includes conservatives. It is the best hope of advancing the our agenda among the two options.

Romney has a strange religion, but Obama's "faith" is much worse.

wish some on here would understand that.

Some are saying he will beat Biden in a debate, well so did Sarah.

I have to ask does Ryan bring FL into play , how about VA?

Will hispanics now vote more for us, how about single women, will CO , NM, ?

Hell will he even give us WI not that we need that to win so long as we get CO,FL,NM,VA,IN, NC

so far no one has answered that except maybe one person last night who said to me who gives a crap about FL, SIGH.

Very well said. Agreeing to serve with Mitt is also a sign to me that Paul Ryan puts the survival of this great nation above all else. I’m very grateful that he does.

Same here. I gave up reading replies to my posts long ago. I’m trying to take a stand for Conservatism and am STILL trying to figure out how that makes me an “Obama lover”.

“To all the huffily indignant and red-faced Mittbot concern trolls and online shills, regularly hopping up and down and screeching like hyper-amphetamined howler monkeys over the unimaginable prospect of committed movement conservatives actually daring NOT to pledge undying fealty to and worship of their anointed CINO du jour....”

ROTFL. In the lingo of the young (which I am not)...Dude you rock!

I am SO relieved that JR posted this. I was ready to stop posting against Romney on FR because I thought JR didn’t approve. I don’t want to be a pest in another man’s home. JR just fired a clear shot to be heard around the “free” world. I just hope Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter are reading it!

Unfortunately, I don’t trust Willard to do the right thing. I can understand how a voter’s principles does not allow them to vote for Willard. I was one of them until Roberts stepped in to snatch victory from certain defeat of Socialist SoetoroCare. Abortion will be supported by the Roberts court. Any legislation outlawing abortion will be struck down by the SC. I cannot change the game. I can only adapt to it. The Roberts Court must be diffused. Romney is the only one who could change it. Odds are not great, but another choice is certain death for unborn. I’ll take the long odds.

Unfortunately this election is no longer even about any of the legitimate issues you bring up. It is about the very survival of our system of government. Obama has proven to be the most lawless president in our history. Even if we elect a Republican Senate, it won’t matter. He simply does whatever he wants and subverts the normal checks and balances written into the constitution.

He says “We can’t wait for Congress”. What he really means is “I won’t wait for Congress. I am going to do whatever the hell I want”. The Republicans in Congress were duly elected to represent their constituents - Obama cares not that he is effectively disenfranchising them by unilaterally enacting 1) stringent EPA environmental standards; 2) Dream act 3) Recess appointments; 4) Rolling back welfare work requirements - the list goes on.

Obama may only be marginally to the left of Romney on social issues. I think he is significantly to the left on economic and foreign policy issues. But there is no doubt he has NO respect for our system of government and his continued presence could have dramatically dire effects over the next four years.

I certainly believe that Mormonism is false but I do not see it as a threat to American democracy. That is in sharp contrast to the strongly anti-Christian, anti-Jewish policies of Obama.

If Obama gets another term to open the borders and flood the US with new Democrats, the US Constitution might be done for good. We can survive Romney/Ryan and a Republican Congress.

No problem. I just prefer Mitt over 4 more years of the likes of Eric Holder.

damn straight.

Libertarians have been coming into our party, liberals coming in and even on talk radio we have many cowards who cannot and will not mention social issues yet the left goes after social issues all the time.

Hannity etc, the elitist GOP, I’ve had it with our side and their no balls, suck up to liberals and their pals and then they think the media might like them.

Hoefling and Goode? I was thinking of voting for Kirk and Spock or perhaps Lennon and McCartney. I can also talk about stuff completely irrelevant to the 2012 election.
