Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

I am a Texan stuck in Cali, and I am seriously considering doing what yoh suggested. That said, I’m not sure that I can pull the lever for Mittens, let alone some truly anti-God Gia whoreshipper...

Have to ask the same question that pertains to all the Anybody But Romney folks. What do you envision happening if you are successful in taking Romney down? What will another 4 years of Obama and his Executive Orders do to America and Freedom? Do you see some upside that many of us cannot? Or, are you merely conceding that the Nation is screwed beyond repair and deciding that another 4 of Obama makes no difference - to quote Joplin, "Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose..."have you decided we're there?

Flip the question...what do you see happening if Romney is elected? Do you really think the GOP is going to undo Obamacare?? They've already tipped their hat and said it's "too hard". They've already given up. NOBODY in Washington is going to get rid of Obamacare. It's money for them. They don't care about anything but getting as much as they can while they can. They KNOW the country is in it's death throes. They're milking the cash out of every sucker they can while they can.

It's over for our present system of government. It was over the moment our government took it's eyes off God as the source of our power, wealth and blessings.

It's either going to be Obama, who is either a godless communist or a god hating muslim...or Romney..who worships a god invented by a man. Which will God bless?

fiscal conservatism is the foundation that binds conservativism together so that social conservatism can progress.

Amazing, social conservatism is what creates and enables fiscal conservatism when everyone in the nation has a vote.

If that were not true, then it would be the democrat party with the conservative economics.

The vote, get it? If I am lazy, immoral, don't give a heck, then I will vote against your conservative economic policies, how do you think the left buys votes? with tax money.

Do not be a little conservative, be a full conservative, all three legs.

“Umm, read the post again.”

I’ve read your long winded babble several times.

Doesn’t change what I said. Or that you’re a stark raving mad idiot who gives the Dems the ability to smear all Conservatives as “Crazy bible pounding fundies”.

JFK got a higher percentage of Protestant votes than democrats had gotten in a few elections, so I don’t know what you can make of that.

What I make of that is that there were idiots like you running around screaming the end is near becauase a Catholic *gasp* was going to get elected and take directives from the Pope.

It was just a stupid argument about JFK as the one you’re screaming about here re: Romney.

He will have to earn his stripes with me if he expects my support in 2016.
***Interesting forces shaping up for 2016. I wonder if Palin will win vs. Ryan. The media absolutely HATE Palin, and simply dislike Ryan. But Ryan has a better chance of being on a winning ticket because, well, he still has a chance.

Lol, so they voted for him in higher numbers than usual?

That hardly adds up does it?

JFK did BETTER with Protestants than democrats had seen in a while, not worse.

You just keep missing the point, you keep mentioning individual politicians in primaries, or the question you just asked about which president.

I am talking about the nation, the populace, the voters.

The VOTERS must be social conservatives, for conservatism to work, if they are not good, moral, naturally conservative people, then they will merely vote to take what they want, they will be bought with welfare, and free stuff, and free medical, whatever, without a moral compass, they will use that vote as the keys to the vault, and social liberal politicians will feed on that.

The conservatism of the voters comes before they decide which economic policies that they will vote in.

That’s the best you’ve got?

You’ve got nothing to back up the stupid patently false accusations against Romney and then have the audacity to call me drunk?

You’ve made a LOT of wild claims...back them up. LINK TO SOMETHING....otherwise you sound like some idiot disruptor from DU.

Personal attacks? This coming from the same person who’s done nothing but make ad hominem attacks against people who disagree with your wild ramblings?

Given the time of night it is back in the states...perhaps it’s you that needs to go to bed and take a nap and sober up.

You are so on point. Have you noticed the mythbots have taken to personally attacking those of us who disagree, saying we are un Christian and hate filled? They have become unhinged.

Rather than going by his record?

I will not tamely sit and lick the hand that enslaves me with more taxes, take away my rightful Constitutional Rights, or wear the chains of slavery lightly to preserve a pseudo peace.

What are your thoughts on Allen West? I liked his no nonsense guts during the war.
