HORN LAKE, Miss. — An unidentified elderly Horn Lake couple were hospitalized Thursday after police burst into their home thinking it housed a methamphetamine laboratory.
The incident occurred Wednesday about 4 a.m., said police Capt. Shannon Beshears. Beshears said it was the right address but the wrong house.
Beshears said a heavily armed Tactical Apprehension Containment Team stormed the house.
"We had good information from a reliable source that had been backed up by a purchase of narcotics linked to the address. However, when we arrived at the designated address, there were two houses on the lot. We hit the larger of the two houses.
"It was the wrong house," Beshears said. "The house was totally dark and the TACT members went through to the bedroom looking for the suspects."
A man and a woman — both in their 80s — were injured as TACT team members secured the house although no drugs were found. There were children in the house also, but they were not awakened, Beshears said.

I can see this going no where so when your kids end up in a crack house or held hostage don't call the police, they might hurt your cat, go and get them yourselves. Then be prepared to spend your nest egg on lawyers.

I've noticed that old folks do not recover very well after breaking a bone. I hope these folks did not sustain broken bones, since these initial reports are sometimes inaccurate.
Why did these old folks resist the cops?
Or were the cops out of control when they entered the home in a dangerous dynamic entry?

Guess what, "big Johnson" (your brag reported to admin moderator btw) the public are the ones who ultimately get to choose what kind of policing they get. If the public want something that would make policing the next worst job to being a gardener, rather than the next better, but less innocents get their ribs bashed in, well the public should get it. IMHO, getting some weed will never be worth the life of a citizen or police officer.

Just like some must put on their little paramilitary outfits and have little tactics and overwhelming firepower just like real army men and break into citizen's homes and abuse them to reach theirs.
