Freepers on Shortwave: What are you listening to?

I've got a shortwave receiver with just a whip antenna, and I've been contemplating putting something larger up this week. I'd be interested in knowing what Freepers have been listening to, especially if there are good English-language Middle East broadcasts this week as well as an increase in "numbers" stations broadcasts.
Also, please feel free to make some indoor antenna recommendations. :)

I had a post earlier this evening regarding the fact that FR gets news faster than anywhere else in the country. We had the American Airlines jet story this afternoon a half-an-hour before any network picked it up. If we can get some people on shortwave, it will be another arm to the FR news gathering arsenal. (but we have to remember when to keep our mouths shut too...)

I always listened to BBC, but they now don't broadcast to USA on shortwave. But I've gotten their Barbados broadcast during the day.
Now that I have internet, I don't bother to use mine, except for WEWN (Mother Angelica).

Sorry: What's this indoor antenna? Just stick an old copper wire outside your window so that the local electricity doesn't interfere with the short wave. I've also hung my wire on the curtain rod near a window, away from the computer and TV
Art Bell's site has a lot of shortwave stations with the frequencies and times:Art Bell

Well, you might already know about it, but spynumbers.com has a user-maintained
database of numbers stations.

Right now being in the Northeast I am now listening to the BBC 5.975 MHz. Nice signal. In your neck of the woods during the day try 12.172 MHz then 5.085 MHZ for some good domestic shortwave. The Art Bell site is good. Just scroll down for the shortwave frequencies. One more which broadcasts out of Maine is WBCQ 7.415 MHZ.

The answer to just about any question can be found using
Google search. Just use a word or two that describes your request and hit enter. I used "shortwave antenna" and got hits for 18,800 pages.
For an indoor antenna, the broomstick antenna, built with PVC pipe, looks very good. Broomstick Antenna Plans

f w i w... for anyone who cares...
radio shack has a long wire antenna kit for shortwave...
its a sixteenth inch diam. uninsulated copper braid wire, with a couple of insulators.
for best reception, you run this thing horizontally across your roof, one
end to the other, and tap into the middle to run a small
insulated wire to your receiver. i didnt bother with the
center tap... just ran an inslulated, suspended wire from one end of the copper
wire to my den. best shortwave i have ever received.
cheap and easy. (this wire on the roof is suspended
between two 6 foot pipes which are clamped to the eves)... the copper wires about 75 feet long.

--before the sun went down, I was listening to freeper jim noble on 12.172.
select-a-tenna are supposed to be good indoor antennas. I have a variation of the london antenna I made, basically a wrapped piece of pvc tubing, that I use indoors sometimes. Sometimes I use a long wire, but am skittish of it after having got zapped by lightning when in close proximity to the loose plug once. Fell into the "no fun" category
