Although the item about the UN flag did bring me up short. If you're working at the UN building, you have my permission to break this rule and put the Stars and Stripes in the prominent position.

I also read that if you have a flag that cannot be flown at half mast you should attach a black banner at the top of it. I never knew that.

While flying half staff, the flag should have been flying solo. Many didn't know this, and most took down other flags or company advertizers when asked. Now that the flag is flying full staff again, is anybody else a little annoyed at these burger flags when they're flown on the same pole? Especially the Wendy's advertisement flag which is mostly white and with a light wind looks a bit like a white flag of surrender.
