the “elite” were the Colonialist Brits we fought for our Independence. Perhaps over the years the “Ruling Class” has gestated from the original Founders in a “new elite”. There is a sort of documentary done years ago— including the skull and bones yale types who think they too are “anointed”.
I wrote this garbage off my viewing list when it first aired so many decades ago.
I pretty much stopped watching when Chevy Chase did the flavored douche skit. That tasteless (no pun intended) piece of trash was a bridge too far, for me.
