This is always said in every election followed by the democrats claiming the republicans are out to kill social security.

Well hell, let's give Social Security $$ to several million illegal aliens.

That'll help...

Well, if the U.S. Government has enough money to finance the planet’s freeloading wet dreamers, buy “college participation certificates” for deadbeat traffic blockers, finance Jo Jo Pedo’s Ukie War for his buddy and support the sales of EVs, then they have money to support Social Security.

But, but we were promised in 1964 it would NEVER run out of cash!

Self-Supporting

“The program is designed so that contributions plus interest on the investments of the social security trust funds will be sufficient to meet all of the costs of benefits and administration, now and into the indefinite future—without any subsidy from the general funds of the Government. Both the Congress and the Executive Branch, regardless of political party in power, have scrupulously provided in advance for full financing of all liberalizations in the program.”

I’ve read where Covid was partially meant to kill off the elderly so the SS funds would last longer, thereby keeping the program intact longer.

Is this cut and paste SS rhetoric from decades past?

It’s a set-up. To condition older Americans - and everyone else - into accepting the idea of SS benefit cuts. They’ve been banging the drum on SS cuts for decades - and it’s all been because they knew someday the money would be needed for other purposes.

The money to support the illegal immigrants that are already here, and the ones that are coming - has to come from somewhere. Substantially raising taxes to pay for them is too obvious, and would cause trouble because ‘the people will be angry’ - not to mention the dampening effect on the economy. Better to just shift money away from an existing program - and it has to be a program with deep pockets. SS has, I think, the deepest pockets of any single federal program. It’s entirely possible that behind the scenes laws and regulations are currently being revised (or were already) to allow this to happen.

The media keeps us busy with nonsense every single day on purpose - to make sure that the important things we should know about never come to light - or we find out long after defensive actions can be taken.

Just for fun, let’s wait and see if any politician introduces legislation that would prevent this from happening. Or even legislation reducing the FICA tax rate to give taxpayers the option of investing a portion of it themselves. Bush 43 floated the idea…nothing happened, and if you search ‘George W Bush reduce FICA tax’ - you get zip…the internet swallowed it.

Just think of all those folks who now get spousal benefits thanks to gay marriage.

"I’ll be dead before that day comes, so I don’t care."

You must not have any kids or grandkids.

They'll give you every dollar that you've got coming. Of course, by then, a gallon of gas is going to cost you 75 of those dollars.
